Artist
My name is Sigurveig Eysteins and I come from Iceland. I have lived in Norway for 9 years. Last 3 years I have been to DTK art college Bærum Fornebu and I graduated in June 2019. I also graduated as an exhibition designer and industrial designer (2 years, see CV.) from Iceland. I have run my own exhibition company and gallery in Iceland from 2000 to 2012.
Norway
I work with painting, photography and print. I take photos using macro photography of surface patterns like ice, rocks, (berg), water and industrially made objects. After I review my photos on the computer I recreate the motifs on paper. I sketch up the lines that interest me and when I am satisfied with the result I start painting on canvas or large piece of paper using wood branches and spatula. My artwork is an abstraction of the nature from both Norway and Iceland.
